  • Very good documentary

This is a very good documentary, especially if you aren't very familiar with all the various aspects of the second World War. The footage looks amazing and there are very few repeatedly used clips. They did a fantastic job coloring all these hours of film. I really like that they focus on the european perspective of the war and cover the entire eastern front. They do however leave out some things, which is of course inevitable. But some of the topics they decided to skip made me scratch my head. The Hürtgen forest, one the of the hardest battles american soldiers fought in Europe, isn't mentioned with a single word. There are a few other cases where they are relying on numbers that are simply false and have long been debunked. All in all this is still a very good documentary though and worth your time and money. If you are interested in WW2 go for it.

A lot of WW2 documentaries are from the American point of view(which isn't a bad thing) but it's nice to see it from a European point of view, I prefer it. I bought the 24.99$ HD and it looks great on my iPhone 6 plus. I buy a lot of WW2 movies/documentaries. I really would like to buy "Hitlers Bodyguard" it's a tv series. But you can only get it on the UK ITunes. Please have it available in the states. I'll buy it the day it's available lol..thanks

As Johnny Boy stated below, I am also a high school student and find this series to be very educational and amazingly entertaining. Even if you're not a WW2 history buff like me, this is a worthwhile watch.
